Ceremonial Dagger
The royal court officials in ancient Persia wore gold ceremonial daggers. The daggers were usually decorated with precious stones. Many Persian kings gave away gold daggers as gifts to inventors, war heroes, or anyone who did something special.

Draw a dagger on the thick cardboard.
Ask an adult to cut it out.
Glue some pieces of newspaper on its handle to make it thick.
Paint the dagger gold.
Let the paint dry.
Glue the colorful beads on the handle.
Now you have a jeweled dagger!
