Lapis Lazuli and gold Necklace
Lapis lazuli is a decorative stone brought to ancient Persia from the Badakhshan Mountains in Afghanistan. The word lapis lazuli comes from the Persian word lazhevard meaning "blue."
Now let's make a lapis lazuli necklace for ourselves.
You will need:
Directions:
Mix flour, salt, and water to make dough.
Keep kneading your dough until it doesn't stick to your fingers.
If the dough is too sticky, add more flour. If it's too crumbly, add water.
On a hard surface, roll out the dough and make small cylinder shape beads.
With the help of a sharp pin make a hole on each bead.
Make round beads and pock a hole on each bead.
Let the beads sit for a day or two until they are dry.
Paint the cylinder beads dark blue.
Paint the round beads gold.
Let them dry for a day.
Pass the thread through the holes.
