King Vishtaspa Banner

King Vishtaspa, Queen Hutaosha, and the King's minister, Jamaspa, were among Zarathushtra's first followers. They were Zarathushtra's good friends and helped him spread his Diving Message.

Here we are going to make a banner showing King Vishtaspa, his queen and his minister.

        You will need:

        vishtaspa banner
        1. Large red cardboard (you can choose any color you like)

        2. Blue, green, pink, yellow, and brown (or any other color you want) construction paper

        3. White construction paper or thin cardboard

        4. Gold ribbons and sequins

        5. Glue

        6. Pencil

        7. Yarn in three different hair colors

        8. Black and red markers

        9. Hole punch or sharp object

        10. String or piece of yarn

        11. Scissors

        12. Jar lid

        Directions:

set35dot.jpgWith the help of a jar lid draw three circles on the white construction paper.

        set35dot.jpgCut them out.

set35dot.jpgGlue the circles on the red cardboard to make the heads.

set35dot.jpgDraw three trapezoids on the green, blue, and pink construction papers to make the bodies.

        set35dot.jpgCut them out.

set35dot.jpgGlue them to the red cardboard under the heads.

set35dot.jpgDraw three different crowns on the construction papers and cut them out.

set35dot.jpgGlue the crowns on the heads.

set35dot.jpgCut up bits of yarn for the hair and beards and glue them in place.

set35dot.jpgGlue the gold ribbons and sequins on the robes.

set35dot.jpgDraw the eyes, noses and lips with the markers.

set35dot.jpgAsk an adult to help you punch two holes on the red cardboard.

set35dot.jpgPass the yarn or the string through the holes and knot the ends.

set35dot.jpgNow you have a King Vishtaspa banner to hang on your wall.
