What are the Gathas and what do they say?
The Gathas are the sacred hymns composed by Asho Zarathushtra (Zoroaster) himself. The Gathas consist of only 17 songs and 241 stanzas. The Gathas are very old. They go back to more than 3500 years ago.
The Gathas explain Zarathushtra's teachings.
Zoroaster teaches us that there is only one God whose name is Ahura Mazda.
We are all free to choose between good and evil. Good people, however, will be rewarded and evil ones will be punished.
We are God's companions, and we should make the world a better place to live by gaining knowledge, destroying poverty, supporting peace and improving the environment.
We have a duty to spread Righteous Zoroaster's sacred Message.
